Founded in 2003, GridPoint pioneered the development of smart grid software to manage distributed energy resources. Today, GridPoint is working with leading utilities nationwide including Xcel Energy, Duke Energy, Austin Energy, Progress Energy and Seattle City Light.

In 2007, GridPoint captured the number one spot in the first AlwaysOn GoingGreen 100 Top Private Companies awards and the North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Green Excellence. In 2008, the company was recognized as a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer, and GridPoint’s CEO, Peter L. Corsell, became the Founding Chairman of the World Economic Forum’s Council on Sustainable Energy. Earth2Tech recently selected Mr. Corsell as one of the top 15 most influential people in the smart grid space.
