Todd M. Raba, President & CEO

Todd M. Raba is President and Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day operations. 
Mr. Raba has more than 30 years of experience in leading large, highly competitive organizations to success. Most recently, Mr. Raba held the position of Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of the Johns Manville Company (A Berkshire Hathaway Company), a leading manufacturer and marketer of premium-quality building products.

Mr. Raba also served as President of the MidAmerican Energy Company (a Berkshire Hathaway Company), Iowa’s largest electric and gas utility, with revenues in excess of $3.2 billion and over 3,500 employees. Prior to the MidAmerican Energy Company, Mr. Raba served as Regional Vice President of Rollins Environmental Services, Inc. acquired by Laidlaw, Inc. in 1997. Mr. Raba holds a B.S. in Forestry from the University of Vermont.


Joseph R. Chinnici, Executive Vice President & CFO

Joseph R. Chinnici is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for GridPoint and is responsible for leading the company’s endeavors in the areas of finance, human resources, corporate information technology, and investor relations. Mr. Chinnici brings more than 30 years of leadership experience with companies ranging from early-stage, venture-backed startups to category-leading, publicly traded multinational enterprises in a variety of competitive industries. He utilizes his entrepreneurial spirit, focus and determination combined with his acumen in finance, compliance, risk management, and mergers and acquisitions to drive companies to achieve their full potential.

Most recently, Mr. Chinnici served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Comverse Technology (NASDAQ; CMVT), the leading global provider of billing and messaging software solutions to the communications industry. Previous to that, he served as CFO for 12 years at telecommunications technology supplier Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ; CIEN). Prior to Ciena, he held a variety of financial positions at Sara Lee Corporation and Playtex Corporation.

Mr. Chinnici’s service on both public and private company boards has included OTG Software, Brix Networks, Guilford Pharmaceuticals, Sourcefire, Inc., and Optium Corporation. He holds a B.S.A. from Villanova University and an M.B.A. from Southern Illinois University and has studied corporate governance at the Harvard Graduate School of Business.


Denis A. Curran, Executive Vice President & General Counsel

Denis A. Curran is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for GridPoint and is responsible for the company’s legal affairs. Mr. Curran was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of Neustar, a provider of clearinghouse and directory services to the global communications and Internet industry. There he managed legal operations relating to corporate and securities matters, including M&A and financing activities, SEC compliance, and corporate governance.

Previously, Mr. Curran was an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he represented a wide range of business organizations on corporate securities, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and general business and contract matters. Mr. Curran holds an A.B. from Princeton University and a J.D., with highest honors, from The George Washington University Law School. He is a member of the California, District of Columbia and Virginia bars.


Jeffrey B. Hatef, Senior Vice President, Data Services and PMO

Jeffrey B. Hatef is Senior Vice President of Data Services and Project Management and is responsible for the company's Energy Advisory Services, data warehouse, advanced analytics, as well as delivery of new software innovations.  Mr. Hatef brings more than 25 years of management and technology experience with companies in multiple industries.   Prior to joining GridPoint, Mr. Hatef was Strategic Advisor at Neustar, where he managed restructuring efforts and helped plan and kick off large engineering efforts.   Prior to this he managed a large engineering team in Neustar’s telecommunications order management business line, leading more than 100 local, remote and offshore engineering resources building multiple products.

Previously, Mr. Hatef managed a large consulting team delivering software development and testing services at a mobile communications provider.  Mr. Hatef has also managed technology and operations for a non-profit group involved in medical research and clinical trials in the U.S. and Europe.  Mr. Hatef began his career as a consultant and software developer, working on a variety of NASA and DoD projects.  Mr. Hatef holds an M.B.A., M.S. and B.S. from the University of Maryland and an MPH from the George Washington University.


Laurene M. Mitchell, Senior Vice President, Operations

Laurene Mitchell is Senior Vice President of Operations and is responsible for overseeing the company’s 24x7 Managed Services practice, installation, customer support, and system commissioning. With more than 20 years of experience, Ms. Mitchell is also responsible for operational engineering including the design of energy management solutions and quality engineering including installation quality assurance, training, documentation, business operations, and global supply chain management.

Prior to joining GridPoint, Ms. Mitchell was the Vice President of Program Management at Neustar Media where she directed service deployment and technical account management for the media and entertainment services division. Ms. Mitchell holds an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School and a B.A. in Psychology from Gettysburg College.

Mark C. Straton, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Mark C. Straton is Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing and is responsible for the company's global business development, sales, channel partnerships and marketing. Over the last 30 years, Mr. Straton held senior leadership positions in sales and marketing with such large-scale companies as XEROX, ROLM, IBM and Siemens and start-ups including SocialExtract and GridPoint.

As Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, Mr. Straton led Siemens Communications global marketing divisions in enterprise, carrier networks, mobile networks and mobile phones supporting up to $5 billion in annual revenues from 2000 to 2012. Mr. Straton is recognized for his marketing and sales expertise in managing disruptive technology transitions successfully. While at Siemens, he led the global market brand introductions for transformational portfolios including Voice-over-IP (HiPath), Unified Communications (OpenScape), Communications Convergence (LifeWorks) and communication cloud services (OpenScape Cloud Services) resulting in sales of over 50 million B2B licenses.

As a result, Siemens received industry recognition including the Wall Street Journal Innovation Europe Technology Award for LifeWorks and Mr. Straton received the Internet Telephony Magazine’s Top 100 Voices of IP Communications. In addition, Frost & Sullivan selected Mr. Straton as an advisor for their Marketing World Conference in 2012 and 2014 and for several years, Mr. Straton was a Board Member for ITSMA’s (Information Technology Solutions Marketing Association) Solution Marketing Council.

With his expert experience as a channel marketing and sales expert, Mr. Straton successfully led the roll-out of Siemens Communications’ (now Unify’s) first global channel marketing program, GoForward!, which transformed Siemens Enterprise Communications from a direct model to a more effective technology hybrid channel sales model. Earlier in his career, as a sales professional at XEROX, ROLM, IBM and Siemens Enterprise Communications, Mr. Straton was consistently recognized as a top performer.

More recently, Mr. Straton moved aggressively to re-position GridPoint as the clear transformational force in Enterprise Energy Management Systems by re-imagining how the Energy Internet of Things (IoT), sensors, big data analytics, mobility and cloud computing can be integrated to deliver strong financial results with enterprise-wide energy consumption, carbon emissions and expense savings of up to 30% with a typical investment payback of 24 months. Now, Mr. Straton will add focus to scaling, developing and synchronizing GridPoint’s direct and indirect channel sales.

Mr. Straton holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and recently received a certificate from the University of San Francisco in Integrated Online Strategies.
